WE MADE IT!!

It has been a week since we arrived to the beautiful state of Veracruz, Mexico. Right now it is hot, muy caliente!!!  Funny how 85degrees here actually seems like 100. Humidity? It rained for a couple days and was a bit cooler, but everything feels damp. Humidity once again I assume. Other than that, everything is fine right now. Still adjusting of course. Two things I cannot seem to make sense of: 1) Why must we wear shoes 24/7? I hear because the floors are dirty or if not dirty then they are cold. Well..... clean the floors and take your shoes off at the door. Makes perfect sense to me. The cold tile feels wonderful on my feet. Not sure about anyone else though. MJ and I are having a hard time with this because we love our BARE FEET!!!
2) MOSQUITOS - Anyone here ever heard of screens on windows? Im thinking no, at least in this area. Maybe we could make some money by installing some screens.

We are staying with Jaime's Aunt and Uncle until the home in Xalapa is available. Hopefully sooner than later. Dont get me wrong, Tio & Tia are lovely people, we just need our own space especially with all of this culture shock. Not to mention I really want to put my American spin on everything. I have not been to Xalapa, but Im sure we will do ok. It is the Capital of Veracruz and is known for its abundance of flower gardens and University of Veracruz. My favorite is, it has a Walmart, Coscto, Office Max, Burger King, McDonalds and KFC!!  YEA!! A lil piece of home....  Not to mention the weather is milder due to the elevation.

Malory is so happy! Loves her Mommy and Daddy together. I have seen a huge change in her. Not crying and whiny as much and is sleeping all night again. Seeing them so happy together again is breathtaking and certainly makes my heart melt. Jaime makes certain that we have everything we need and is working hard to give us everything we want. Grateful for him. Even though I feel like I have been through hell, I will not lose my faith. God is good.

No pics yet. Left my camera charger in Texas..... Should only cost $100 to send it here. Not kidding!
Be back soon.  God Bless you and yours.
